With rich feature sets and extensive model options, the Datalogic Gryphon ESD product series from Datalogic Scanning represents the premium level of data collection equipment for general purpose applications. The Gryphon ESD D200 reader has been specially developed by Datalogic Scanning to satisfy the strict requirements for EPA (ESD Protected Area) use.
ESD is a phenomenon that occurs when an object has an imbalance in its electrical charge: a fast charge transfer between objects with differing electrostatic potential caused by contact or by the proximity of the two objects. Wherever electronic components are handled, installed or assembled, ESD poses a threat to product quality.
With technological advances in electronics an increasing number of these components are susceptible to damage or destruction by increasingly lower voltage levels. ESD events can also compromise the measurements taken by very sensitive instruments, like those used in hospital and medical analysis laboratories.
Additional Features and Advantages of the Datalogic Gryphon ESD:
Certified between static dissipative (106 O and 1012 O) and conductive (103 O and 106 O) range.
Fast reading performance up to 270 scans/second.
Datalogic's patented ‘Green Spot' for good-read feedback.
Supports GS1 DataBar linear codes with additional support for stacked codes like PDF417, MicroPDF and GS1 DataBar plus UPC/EAN composites on select models.
Water and Particulate Sealing Rating: IP30.
Drop resistance to 1.2 m / 3.9 ft.The most advanced polymer and elastomeric technologies are used for the ESD-safe Gryphon ESD D200 reader. The body of the product is composed of a slightly conductive plastic, rather than an insulating one, preventing the accumulation of tribocharges. Specific cables additionally guarantee ESD safety between any two points. These specialized protective features are added to the same outstanding reading performance and ergonomic form factor found in the Gryphon Desk product series.
Featuring Datalogic's exclusive patented 'Green Spot' for good read feedback directly on the code; it helps to improve productivity especially in noisy environments. When the reader is used in Stand Mode, the Green Spot remains on to aid in positioning the code for quick and intuitive reading.
