Novelty retailer Spencer Gifts, Egg Harbor Township, N.J., is deploying MS9540 VoyagerCG bar code scanners from Metrologic Instruments Inc.
Metrologic's hand-held laser bar code scanners will be used in point-of-sale applications in more than 600 stores.
Spencer operates more than 800 Spencer Gifts and SPIRIT Halloween Superstores, which largely serve the young adult market with unusual items. The selection includes licensed merchandise from movies, television and music and a variety of unique lighting décor and lifestyle products and novelties.
